It will be released in early April
Patriot announced its AERO wireless mobile hard drive this week, which is ideal for sharing content with any smartphone, laptop or tablet.
The AERO wireless mobile hard drive features the option of 500GB or 1TB storage capacities; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n; Internet pass-through while connected; USB 3.0 port (USB 2.0 compatible; WEP/WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK security, and a lithium-ion battery for up to six hours of streaming.
“With the exponential growth in the sales of tablets and smartphones, consumers are taking their world mobile with the desire to carry and view more content on their portable devices,” said Mike Kroll, Sr. Director of Product Management at Patriot. “In regards to storage, this demands major product evolution and Patriot is on the forefront of design and innovation. Patriot's AERO wireless mobile hard drive can stream to up to five connected devices at once using the Patriot Connect App, which is available on the Apple App Store, Amazon Appstore and Google Play. It is also compatible with third-party media player apps.
The AERO wireless mobile hard drive will be available in early April for $159.99 (500GB) or $199.99 (1TB).
