Kutcher will take on the role of Jobs in the new film

The first official photo of Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs has been released on the Web ahead of the premiere of the new movie based on the Apple leader's life.
Back in April of this year, it was announced that Kutcher would play the role of Jobs in a new indie movie called "jOBS." The movie is directed by Joshua Michael Stern, who is best known for directing Disney's 2008 comedy "Swing Vote." The script for "jOBS" was written by Matt Whiteley.
Now, the first official photo of Kutcher acting as Jobs has made its way around the Web, and many are weighing in on whether he resembles the late Apple CEO or not.
The photo shows Kutcher dressed in classic "young" Jobs attire -- a button-up shirt and jeans. He has a similar hairstyle with the goatee and a watch that resembles Jobs' style as well. The background shows the IBM poster "THINK" and an old Apple Monitor II.
This photo is meant to closely replicate an old photo of Jobs, where he's sitting on a wood table in similar clothing with the same items in the background.
Jobs passed away October 5, 2011 after stepping down as Apple CEO only two months earlier. He died due to complications involving pancreatic cancer. Tim Cook took over as Apple's CEO.
What do you think? Does Kutcher look like Jobs? Feel free to share in the comments.

He actually looks a lot like him...

I am not a huge fan of Kutcher unless he is playing Kelso and I think Jobs had an ego problem (to put it lightly) but Kutcher at least looks the part!

Let the flaming of Steve Jobs and Apple commence!

They're brothers from another mother, perfect fit for the top douche.

Agreed. Type-casting at its finest.

It won't be a real biographical movie unless it portrays the "Beloved Leader" in all his douchy glory. I anticipate this movie will have to be offered in 3-D only...since the visual effects of said movies make it much easier to replicate "reality distortion".

I also want to see monologues about how "Beloved Leader" explains that prior art doesn't exist. Ever.

Speaking of flaming, Kutcher looks pretty flaming in that pose dressed up as retro-jobs.

I actually think it may be an interesting movie, if accurate. Guy was a real lunatic and hippie. Would make for a pretty entertaining film.

Speaking of accuracy, I supposed the whole illegitimate child thing will not surface in the film. Nor his angry and tyrannous "thermonuclear" mood-swings.

I estimate it will be accurate as far as remembering him like a hero or success story. In that case, I'll pass. But I might prefer the real story including the ugly truths, like that Johnny Cash movie.

Actually I think Steve-O would make a better Diznee animation toon: turtleneck, jeans, and a temper like Yosemite Sam. (And imagine the Bill & Woz caricatures while we're at it.)

Why "jOBS" and not "Jobs"? Is it some letter/word play I don't get?

By techhappy on 12/4/2012 6:51:21 PM , Rating: 1
Wow, is that a joke? Like every apple product is lettered this way, iPad, iTouch, iPhone, iMac. Its meant to elicit a similar response to the products that Apple created and marketed.

Ah, so it IS retarded.

So wouldn't it be jObs then or is that just too stupid?

I think it would be cool if they touched on Pixar and possibly some cameos of a young John Lassiter, maybe even some George Lucas thrown in there.

I always found the Pixar aspect to be one of Jobs better accomplishments.
