Unveil to come two days before IFA kicks off in Berlin

If you're a fan of Samsung smartphones and mobile devices, Lee Young-hee, a VP for the company’s mobile business, has confirmed that a very important unveiling of two new products will happen on September 4. According to the executive, the Samsung Galaxy Note III and Galaxy Gear smart watch will both be unveiled on that day.

The September 4 date puts the unveiling of the two new products only two days ahead of the launch of IFA. The unveiling will be held at Samsung's own event in Berlin.

Rumors continue to suggest that the Galaxy Gear will be offered in multiple colors and designed to pair with Samsung smartphones using Bluetooth and NFC. The watch is expected to feature a number of sensors designed to be used with applications for health tracking.

Although the Galaxy Gear will run the Android operating system, the executive does say that the smart watch will not feature a flexible display when it launches in October.

"We have patents for Intellectual Properties Related to The next Wearable Devices. Those [flexible displays] are Concepts for Future Products," said Young-hee.

On the smartphone front, we know that the Galaxy Note III will feature a 5.68-inch screen with 1080p resolution featuring Super AMOLED technology. The processor for the phablet will be a quad-core Snapdragon 800 or an octo-core Exynos 5420. Rumors also suggest 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, and a memory card slot for storage expansion.

The device is expected to have a 13-megapixel rear camera, a battery with 3200 mAh of power, and will run the Android 4.3 operating system.

Wonder what Apple will try this year to rain on their parade. Looking forward to the smart watch!

from everything we know about the iphone 5S/5C, and the forthcoming "trade in your iphone for store credit" program, it seems like apple is desperately trying to catch up with the rest of the smartphone world.
samsung on the other hand continues to offer innovative products.
i'm currently using a note 1 (didn't like the screen aspect on the note 2), so i'm anxiously awaiting the final note 3 specs/pics.

Yup... As everyone knew, Apple would pull off the same "Same phone but faster with a few new features" they do every year. Same small low res low DPI screen. It will be plenty fast, as is every new high end phone built in the past year, but its sort of a yawner...

In two years they will increase the screen size up to a whopping 4.005". Another amazing innovation!

Your jeans are way too tight man. You should be able to fit at least 4 GS3's in any pair of Levis... Not comfortably, but the pockets are plenty big enough to hold 4. If you cant get your phone in there, your jeans are WAY the hell too tight.

LOL... OK.

Anyhow, regardless... Any jeans pockets have plenty room for any phone of any size. If it's not getting in there, it isnt the size of the pocket, its the tightness of the jeans. Agree?

So... If your jeans are too tight to fit your phone you have a choice to make. Are your jeans useful? Or Doucheful? Or have you just gained alot of weight and not bought new jeans?

:P

My wife is a tiny 120lbs and her Note 2 fits in her skinny hipster jeans fine. Of course, most of the time, like most women she carries it in her purse.

My Note 2 easily fits into any pants I wear. What is more worrying is why the hell anyone wants to put a mobile into their pants next to their ghoulies in the first place, Don't they plan on having kids one day? lol

All pants and shorts need to be made with a smartphone pocket just below the right front pocket. Cellphone pockets have been fading away but I still need them! My front pockets have other crap in them that is not friendly to a phone's exterior, and cargo pockets have too much flop.

I have never seen a pair of Jeans that has the normal front 2 pockets that cant fit a Note2 comfortably. There isnt a need for a special pocket, normal pockets are fine. This guy's past are probably 2- shades too tight.

Unless you are wearing douchebag "skinny" jeans they will fit anywhere. Not that it matters to me, use your tiny isheep phone for all I care I prefer a nice sized phone like the note.
