After only about a week of being publicly available, the .eu domain has outgrown .biz

DailyTech earlier reported that customers living in the European Union are now able to purchase .eu domain names.  An Ipwalk press release notes that the .eu domain has quickly outgrown .biz, after only a week of being available to the general public.  Ipwalk also claims that .eu is on track to grow larger than .info in about four months.  Analysts are now going to patiently wait to see if .eu will become Europe's version of the .com.  Ipwalk reports:

Today there are 1.454.128 active .eu domain names, a number that surpasses 1.352.984 active .biz domain names. The .biz TLD was introduced in 2001 and is to be used for "bona fide business or commercial use". However, Neulevel, the registry of .biz, don’t apply any systematic to ensure these restrictions.

Is it just me or does .biz seem like such a shady domain?

Yeah it seems like 90% of the time I go to a .biz website, AntiVir says something like "trojan blocked", or "intrusion detected", or "virus deleted". I try to avoid .biz as much as I can.

I'd agree on .biz, it seems to be all scammers and pyramid scheme types. I'm actually sceptical of any legit' company that uses that domain.

.tv for UK based operators seems to be all these crap debt consolidation and legal loan shark companies.
