PowerColor X1300 HyperMemory 2
Overclocking from factory giving a 25% GPU speed increase

Today PowerColor has announced the release of its latest ATI-based X1300 PCI Express graphics adapter. The company says that with its new HyperMemory 2 model, its X1300 sets itself apart from the competition by shipping with overclocked GPUs guaranteed to work from the factory.

PowerColor says that while other X1300 ship with the GPU operating at 450MHz, its X1300 HyperMemory 2 ships at 600MHz -- a significant 25% increase in frequency. In its base configuration, PowerColor is starting out the new cards with 128MB of memory but says that cards sporting up to 512MB of memory are on the way which will also be overclocked from the factory.

Quick specifications include:
128MB of DDR2 400MHz (up to 512MB variations coming)
600MHz RADEON X1300 GPU (overclocked at factory)
90nm fabrication
4 pixel pipelines
2 vertex shaders

PowerColor says that by increasing clock speeds at factory, users get the added bonus of better performance without having to pay the added costs of a pricier product.

You're review of "this" new card is not a review of this card... Check the specs, This is an updated X1300 card where the memory freq. is 600mhz not the 400mhz card you linked. The gpu is faster too.

we were asked by Powercolor not to release the review before 20/02. When our reviewer first looked at the card it has 128Mb on board and not the 512Mb as expected; however, HyperMemory2 uses a part of the system memory to increase the overall graphics card memory.

So this is the card they are announcing today. Maybe you should read the review before jumping to conclusion :)

I was informed after the sample arrived by PowerColor that this model will be called X1300 HyperMemory 2 supporting 512MB, and will be factory overclocked with a core running at 600Mhz instead of 450MHz default when the card arrives in retailers shortly afterward.
