PowerColor X1300 HyperMemory 2
Overclocking from factory giving a 25% GPU speed increase

Today PowerColor has announced the release of its latest ATI-based X1300 PCI Express graphics adapter. The company says that with its new HyperMemory 2 model, its X1300 sets itself apart from the competition by shipping with overclocked GPUs guaranteed to work from the factory.

PowerColor says that while other X1300 ship with the GPU operating at 450MHz, its X1300 HyperMemory 2 ships at 600MHz -- a significant 25% increase in frequency. In its base configuration, PowerColor is starting out the new cards with 128MB of memory but says that cards sporting up to 512MB of memory are on the way which will also be overclocked from the factory.

Quick specifications include:
128MB of DDR2 400MHz (up to 512MB variations coming)
600MHz RADEON X1300 GPU (overclocked at factory)
90nm fabrication
4 pixel pipelines
2 vertex shaders

PowerColor says that by increasing clock speeds at factory, users get the added bonus of better performance without having to pay the added costs of a pricier product.

They can get the chip cheaper from ATI, I imagine.
