Another tournament allowing video gamers to try and win some prize money has been announced
As the video game industry continues to expand, so does the world of professional gaming. Games Media Properties has announced the
World Series of Video Games
, a tournament that will offer a grand prize of $1 million USD to the winner. The competition will start off in June in Kentucky with four stops throughout the year before the championship tournament in December. Along with PC games, the Microsoft Xbox console will also be played at the WSVG. Intel and Microsoft are the official sponsors of the event.
It should be interesting to see if the WSVG will ever be able to compete with current gaming tournaments like the World Cyber Games.
