Next-generation mid-range NVIDIA graphics cards hit the show floor

The CeBIT 2007 exhibition show has just gotten underway in Hanover, Germany, and already a plethora of GeForce 8600 graphics cards are on the show floor. MSI's booth has several cards on display, though the company has not revealed precisely which model GPUs are featured in each card.

Instead, MSI claims the cards on display at its CeBIT booth are DirectX 10 NVIDIA GeForce boards.  NVIDIA's reference design for GeForce 8600 is based on the GeForce 7600 PCB layout, which was already based on the GeForce 6600 layout.  However, as visible with the MSI cards, audio pass-through, HDMI and additional voltage regulation are also present on the 8600 samples.

Specifications of the GeForce 8600 and 8500 lines were published earlier this week.  The high-end GeForce 8600GTS features 256MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 1000 MHz, and a core frequency of 675 MHz.  Mid-range GeForce 8600GT GPUs steps the GPU core down as low as 500 MHz.

MSI has a few mystery cards on display at CeBIT as well.  A passively cooled, half-height DirectX 10 card is on display, which is likely the low-end replacement for GeForce 7200.

NVIDIA has not revealed a launch date for the new GeForce GPUs, though with samples already on display, a ship date is not far away.

Actually you misspelled writer, and not written. Try using Firefox's inline spell checker.

No I believe "writter" was suppose to be "written", but he also forgot a few key commas that would have helped the sentence, make more sense... I think it should have read something like this.

"And maybe, better written, more informative articles with correct grammar and sentence structure."

If you ask me it doesn't flow well and would probably have to be read a few times over, to understand the meaning.

Sorry bobdeer, guess that goes to show, it maybe harder than it appears. Maybe next time you won't be so hasty to make a fool of yourself. Oops, I mean down others work and abilities.
