Lenovo selects the new Mobility FireGL V5200 for its Thinkpad T60p
ATI has announced its next generation
mobile workstation GPU, the Mobility FireGL V5200. Lenovo has already
selected the new GPU for its Core Duo based Thinkpad T60p
lineup.
The GPU is certified for use in a wide range of
professional applications including AutoCAD, Catia, ICEM Surf,
SolidWorks, 3dsmax, Maya and Softimage/XSI. On the hardware front,
the Mobility FireGL V5200 features 12 pixel pipelines and a 256MB
frame buffer.
The Lenovo Thinkpad T60p features an
Intel Core Duo processor T2600 operating at 2.16GHz, 1GB of RAM, a
100GB 7200RPM hard drive, 8x DVD±RW drive, GbE, Intel
PRO/Wireless 3945ABG WiFi, Bluetooth technology and an integrated
fingerprint reader. There are also two display options available: a
14.1” screen with a 1400x1050 resolution or a 15” screen with a
resolution of 1600x1200.
The 4.9 lb Thinkpad T60p can operate for up to 4.9 hours with its
nine-cell battery and up to 6.8 hours with the nine-cell battery and
Ultrabay Slim battery.
The T60p will be available on February
14th according to Lenovo.
