Kingston HyperX catches up to OCZ FlexXLC
Kingston Technology today announced two new enthusiast HyperX memory products—KHX9200D2/XX and KHX9600D2/XX. The latest HyperX DDR2 memory modules arrive clocked at 1.15 and 1.2 GHz. As with most high-speed memory, the new Kingston modules are rated with a CAS latency of 5. Previously released Corsair DOMINATOR and OCZ Technology FlexXLC modules are rated with CAS latencies of 5 as well.
Kingston offers the KHX9200 and KHX9600 modules in individual 512MB and 1GB modules. Dual-channel users can purchase 1GB and 2GB kits with matched pairs. All Kingston HyperX KHX9200 and KHX9600 modules have been tested by ASUS for compatibility with ATI, NVIDIA and Intel chipsets. Raymond Chen, Vice President of Marketing for ASUS claimed “it is clear that these modules, paired with high performance ASUS motherboards, bring the ultimate in high frequency gaming memory to PC enthusiasts.”
Kingston HyperX KHX9200 and KHX9600 modules are available immediately. Pricing starts at $137 for a single 512MB KHX9200 module and tops out at $525 for a 2GB KHX9600 kit.
