Connect your USB devices wirelessly

Belkin today announced its new Cable-Free USB Hub. The Belkin Cable-Free USB claims to be the industry’s first cable-free USB hub. However, this isn’t the case as DailyTech previously reported Y-E Data announced its YD-300 UWB hub last month in Japan. Nevertheless, the Belkin Cable-Free USB hub uses Ultra-Wideband technology to allow USB device connectivity wirelessly.

The Belkin Cable-Free USB targets laptop, desktop users and promises the ability to access any USB device without being entangled in wires. Supported devices include any USB or High-Speed USB device including printers, portable media devices, scanners, CD burners etc…  The device offers speeds up to 480Mbps and device access up to 30ft away.

Availability is expected later this month with pricing around $199.99. The Belkin Cable-Free USB hub ships with a 4-port hub and included USB dongle. Do note the Belkin Cable-Free USB hub is not a Certified Wireless USB device.

Are there any WUSB products on the market right now?
