MySpace on the small screen

Access Hotmail through Opera Mini 3.0
Now you can hack MySpace while on-the-go

Today, Opera Software introduces Opera Mini 3.0, a newest version of its mobile browser. The upgrade adds new features that enhance mobile social networking abilities on all community sites: photo sharing, RSS feed reader and secure connections.

Opera Mini can now be used to easily browse and upload pictures to all online community sites, including MySpace, Blogger, Flickr, Facebook and My Opera, as well as establishing secure connections to popular webmail such as Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo Mail.

"We are excited to improve on the mobile Web experience that has already been so well received by both end users and distributors", says Jon von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera Software. "I think the main reason for Mini's success is that it, for the first time, allows millions of people to use their mobile phones to access the same Web sites they do from their desktop."

Opera Mini is globally available free of charge and enables Web browsing on almost any mobile phone. Only an Internet data plan through your carrier/operator is needed to access the Internet.

Yes Facebook all the way, where I can customize everything I wanted to on my page and more...err wait that is myspace. I have both and I definitely end up spending more time at myspace than facebook.

I'm old-school...

I pick real human interaction, and neither of the above.

Why do people like Facebook? I strongly prefer Myspace over that clunky mule of a service. Half of everything displayed on Facebook's main page is of zero relevance to me or my friends... Why exactly do I want to know that a friend of my friend is now friends with some other douchebag? The only advantage Facebook has is seemingly unlimited picture storage... but based on the garbage people think is worth seeing, being restricted to 16 pictures helps weed out the crap. I don't need to see 12 pictures of you and your mom in front of the same poorly-lit water fountain! The lack of ads is nice, but a quick edit of the HOSTS file makes short work of those...

I dunno, Myspace seems much more enjoyable and interesting than Facebook any given day of the week. Am I supposed to like Facebook because it's "more mature" or something?
