PowerColor breathes new life into the aged AGP platforms, Asus readies "G80"
French tech site

. Images of the proposed Radeon X1950 Pro AGP graphics card are posted on
as well. The upcoming Radeon X1950 Pro AGP is expected to be
clocked higher than its PCI Express counterparts
at 600 MHz core and 700 MHz instead of the 575 MHz core and 690 MHz memory on PCI Express parts. In addition to the higher core and memory clocks, PowerColor will equip Radeon X1950 Pro AGP graphics cards with a quiet Arctic Cooling Accelero X2 cooling solution.

A French website wrote this huh? I'll take this news with a grain of salt until I see the X1950 actually on newegg.
I have 2 A64 939 AGP systems and I have no intentions on going PCIE just because PCIE owners "think" AGP is dead. In terms of volume AGP systems > PCIE systems.
ATI and nVidia need to get their heads out of their asses and realise that not everyone is buying into this PCIE crap. Once they drop this arrogant train of thought, put down the crack pipe and start making the high end current AGP cards then will they realise what kind of $$$ they've been missing out on.

And only 256MB?!?! What baloney. I got all excited there for a second.
Lame. ATI had my money for sure and then they screwed up with 256MB instead of 512.
Maybe an nvidia card will do us all right so I can replace my X800XTPE with something much better.

Don't just get dissappointed that quick, if you're so hungry for memory on the X1950 Pro AGP graphic board and need 512 Mb of memory instead of 256, check this out:
No mistake there, Diamond also have a X1950 Pro AGP with 256 Mb of memory which you can find here:
There you go.
I'll wait till these cards hit the shelves and see how they perform before deciding to buy one though.
