The smartphone of the year is now set to launch.

Apple has sent out media invites for the event which read, “ Let’s meet at our place. Please join us for the first-ever event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino”.

During this event, Apple may unveil its next generation of iPhone. This event is scheduled for September 12 at 10:00a.m California time. The event will take place at Steve Jobs Theater located at Apple park campus in Cupertino, CA. The exception is that the company also will launch iPhone 7 S and iPhone 7S at the event.

According to Bloomberg’s recent report the iPhone 8 will come with list of the new features:

The list includes 3D facial recognition sensor at the front top for unlocking the device and make secure payments, along with an infrared sensor that will let users unlock the device using face recognition even in low light conditions.  In addition to the two sensors, there will be a smart camera with improved scene and object detection.

The smartphone is said to have inductive charging, which it has been rumored for a longtime.  As it was seen in the leaks, the iPhone 8 will feature a longer power button on the side. Along with extended display will also include a virtual home button, which will be replacing the Touch ID button seen in other iPhone models.

We are almost there, to get hands-on one of these new device or all to study and post the outcomes.

"Paying an extra $500 for a computer in this environment -- same piece of hardware -- paying $500 more to get a logo on it? I think that's a more challenging proposition for the average person than it used to be." -- Steve Ballmer
