Google announces apps that won the Google Play Awards 2017, I/O Developer Conference Google inaugurated Play Award, which is given to the Android apps selected on the basis of set parameters.

The different app categories were being announced. The finalists included a total of 57 apps, divided across 12 different categories. Everything included from best standout Indie apps to best Social Impact apps.

 

This year's winners that were awarded in their respective categories and price are; Best TV Experience: Red Bull TV (free)

Best Android Wear Experience: Runtastic running & Fitness (free)

Best Multiplayer Game: Hearthstone (free)

Best Game: Transformers: Forged to Fight (free)

Standout Indie: Mushroom 11 (Rs.340)

Standout Startup: Hooked (free)

Best Social Impact: ShareTheMeal (free)

Best VR Experience: Virtual Reality (Rs600)

Best AR Experience: Woorld (free)

Best App For Kids: Animal Jam – Play Wild! (free)

Best App: Memrise (free)

Best Accessibility Experience: IFTTT (free)

 

Of course “you could exclude your app from certain devices based on SafetyNet Exclusions. This helps you assess the security and compatibility on the Android devices running your app,” reads the Google Play support Page.

 

Google also announced, the Google Play Protect service at its I/O 2017 Developer Conference that service recognizes, and removes apps that may be potentially harmful, this includes side-loaded apps. Now all Android apps can be blocked from being downloaded on rooted smartphones.
