It is reported that on Tuesday, Amazon on launched its much-rumored smart home speaker called as the Amazon Echo show.

Currently it is up for preorder starting price under $230.00 and will start shipping from June 28th

at price of $460, but Amazon offering a promotion if interested individuals purchase two Echo dots and will get discounted price of $360.

 

The Echo Show is touch screen display, something that was missing from its predecessor. The Amazon Echo Show has its home-brewed digital assistant Alexa handling all the operations based on voice-commands and now touch screen inputs. The device’s built –in 7inch touch screen adds some new abilities to the Echo Show. The display can show the weather forecast when asked, play videos from YouTube, Amazon and other platforms. Also acts as a digital photo frame and even shows a certain area of the house when connected with a security camera.

 

This touch screen makes it possible to make video calls by using the Alexa App.  Another calling feature is ‘drop In’ where users can designate friends and family to make a call from Echo Show at any time. Where the receiver gets a 10 2nd to reject a Drop In call.  This device has a 5MP front –facing camera and a Dolby powered dual 2-inch speakers. As it is reported per Amazon claim, the Echo show comes with eight microphones, which is one extra as compared to its predecessor.

 

Echo show measures 187x187x90mm and weighs 2.4 Pound with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n networks along with Bluetooth.  The Intel’s Atom x5-Z8350 processor powers it. The Echo Show details will be posted as soon as it became available in the market.
