Epic Games revealed its role-playing game “cartoons of the 1980s, called Battle Breaker”, for PC and Mobile at the developer conference in San Francisco. The new game will feature hundreds of characters including ninjas, robots, and dinosaurs, and cross-platform play between mobile devices and PCs.

A release date has not been announced, but Epic is taking pre-registrations at Google Play for Android users, and at epicgames.com for the iOS and PC versions.
Also pre-registering will score you the powerful Dark Beastman character, a Viking-type fellow with a thing for purple and Motorhead-inspired codpieces. Here is one screen:

This game is a fantasy sci-fi cartoon adventure, and Epic made it with Unreal Engine 4’s design tools. It’s one of the new examples in Epic’s self – publishing strategy, and it is one of six games coming from Epic, said Donald Mustard creative director at Epic games in an interview with GamesBeat.  Battle Breakers is available now in limited soft launch in the Philippines, and it will hit the worldwide market on Android and iOS devices and PC later this year.

Also Mustard added, ”that your world is at peace. Monsters attack. You have to set free all the heroes and monsters that are trapped by a Crystal Overlord and take back the planet”. According to a report: a playable version of Battle Breakers will be on display this week in the Epic Games GDC booth. Additionally, Epic Games will host its own “ State of Unreal” keynote presentation on Wednesday, March 1st at 10 a.m. in Moscone West, Room 3001.
