Verizon Wireless joins AT&T and Sprint on double data promotion

Not to be left out, it looks as though Verizon Wireless is now the latest U.S. carrier to offer a “double data” promotion for customers. AT&T kicked off the festivities over the weekend, while Sprint came to the party this afternoon.
Verizon Wireless is increasing monthly data pools for all of its “More Everything” plans. The bottom-rung 12GB plan gets a slight boost to 15GB. The 16GB plan nearly gets doubled to 30GB. The true doubling starts with the 20GB, 30GB, 40GB, and 50GB which all get boosted to 40GB, 60GB, 80GB, and 100GB respectively.
Not surprisingly, pricing for the More Everything plans match up GB for GB and dollar for dollar with AT&T’s Mobile Share Value plans.

“We know that no matter how much data you have, it’s only as good as the network it’s on, and Verizon Wireless’ network is second to none,” said Verizon Wireless CMO Ken Dixon. “We know our customers – from families to businesses -- crave more data to help them keep up with their busy lifestyles, and these new promotions, together with other offers like our industry-leading trade- in program, give them even more during the month of October.”

Verizon Wireless’ promotion starts on October 2 and will last through October 31.
