New phone looks sleek and thin

A user of China's Weibo microblogging site has posted images of an unreleased Nokia Lumia Windows Phone that's likely being prepped for release by Nokia Devices' owner, Microsoft Corp. (MSFT).

It's well known that China is where most high-end Lumia devices are painstakingly assembled. Not surprisingly, it's also the source of many of the leaks we received during the wind up to device launches.

The new Lumia smartphone appears to have an aluminum frame and polycarbonate back to go along with its glass front.

Lumia 830

The smartphone also features a large, black camera circle, similar to the one found in the Lumia 1020.  Based on the fact that there is no bulge, it is unlikely, however, that this is using the same 41-megapixel camera found in that supershooter.  Still, there's room to hope that it features a slightly cut-down version of the Lumia 1020's superbly crisp, if at a times flawed optical system.

About the only additional hint we can see from the images is that the phone will feature physical buttons.

The name is a subjective of active debate. Some believe this is the upcoming Nokia device known as "Tesla", an AT&T Inc. (T) exclusive that is expected to feature some sort of more advanced form of wireless charging.  The Verge suggests that it could be named the Lumia 730, while Neowin says it will likely be called the Lumia 830.

Either way, from what we can see thus far, it's a good-looking phone.
