Quick Note: Nokia Lumia 635 Coming to T-Mobile, MetroPCS for Under $170 Off-Contract

T-Mobile and its sub-brand MetroPCS will carry the budget-friendly
Nokia Lumia 635
starting next month.
, the Windows Phone 8.1-powered gadget will be 4G LTE-ready and available for under $170 USD without a contract.
To break it down a bit further, T-Mobile customers can grab the Nokia
635 for $0 down and for $7 a month for 24 months (total of $168). MetroPCS customers, on the other hand, can buy the phone for a promotional deal of $99. It's currently unclear how long that promotion will last.
The Nokia Lumia 635 sports a 4.5-inch display, Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera, the Cortana personal assistant and a variety of colors to choose from.
The 635 will be available on T-Mobile's site starting July 9, but if you'd prefer to pick it up in-store, you'll have to wait until July 16.
As for MetroPCS customers, the 635 will be released in stores and online starting July 18.
The 635 was originally announced at Microsoft's BUILD conference back in April. It's the first of the Windows Phone 8.1 devices announced at BUILD to be available in the U.S.

(Nearly) full Windows is much faster than Android too. Windows RT 8.1 is easily an order of magnitude faster than Android 4.4.4 running on identical CPU/GPU, even though RT is running a full web browsers, full Flash, pushing two screens, and running Office at the same time...it does all that much faster on my Surface 1 than my Nexus 7 does just struggling to run a single stripped down mobile program at once LOL.
