ZBOX Sphere OI520 Series will start at $399

ZOTAC is known mainly for its pint-sized mini-PCs and today it’s spicing things up a bit with the introduction of its new ZBOX Sphere OI520 series which takes on — as its name implies — a spherical design.
ZOTAC is hoping to score points with enthusiasts that want to think… outside the box and have something a bit swankier to show off on their entertainment shelf or desk.
Underneath the “orb form factor” lies a 1.6GHz Intel Core i5 4200U processor and Intel HD Graphics 4400 integrated graphics processor. The ZBOX Sphere OI520 supports a single 2.5” SSD or HDD, an additional mSATA SSD, and incorporates two S0-DIMM slots. Other features include 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.0. External connections include HDMI, DisplayPort, GbE, three USB 2.0 ports, and four USB 3.0 ports.
The standard ZBOX Sphere OI520 is priced at $399. The ZBOX Sphere OI520 Plus comes standard with 4GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD, and is priced at $499.

Perhaps ZBOX Sphere OI520 would make a fitting companion for LaCie’s 1TB Sphère external USB 3.0 HDD.

Please, a company claiming it owned a flat rectangle with rounded corners was bad enough. We don't need a company claiming they own the sphere.

Simple shapes are just that. Nobody owns them. Nobody can steal them.

Which is odd because the 'Q' was an abject failure.

The nexus q was a good design but it came a little bit before it's time so it wasn't a well rounded product. I'd love it if Google brought back the Q as an AndroidTV device
