Beware the bezel, but otherwise minimalist design pleases

Back in March 2014, Hewlett-Packard Comp. (HPQ) carried out a stealthy launch of a tablet packing Google Inc.'s (GOOG) Android OS.  Very much a budget offering, the $170 USD tablet featured a bare bones spec, but some nice features like microSD expandable storage.

HP remains a low volume seller in the tablet market, but the veteran firm -- a top seller in the traditional PC market -- is looking to gain ground.  Probably the best thing about the tablet was its attractive, minimalist looks.

Twitter leaker @evleaks has posted some new press shots from HP.  It appears HP is finally stepping up marketing of the new design. What do you think?

So far HP tablets aren't known for any of those 3 things. But... Lets wait and see.

The least they could do to make it attractive is skin Android with WebOS (and maybe a Synergy clone) that is, if they're able to license it back from LG.

God HP, I love you but you been a God Damn mess lately.
