Beware the bezel, but otherwise minimalist design pleases

Back in March 2014, Hewlett-Packard Comp. (HPQ) carried out a stealthy launch of a tablet packing Google Inc.'s (GOOG) Android OS.  Very much a budget offering, the $170 USD tablet featured a bare bones spec, but some nice features like microSD expandable storage.

HP remains a low volume seller in the tablet market, but the veteran firm -- a top seller in the traditional PC market -- is looking to gain ground.  Probably the best thing about the tablet was its attractive, minimalist looks.

Twitter leaker @evleaks has posted some new press shots from HP.  It appears HP is finally stepping up marketing of the new design. What do you think?

But seriously that is a big assed bezel. It looks like a digital picture frame from the early 2000's

$170 can't buy everything.

No, it cant... And we dont know the specs of this. But I highly doubt HP will come anywhere close to the Nexus 7 with this and it's $199. This will likely have lower res screen and a comparable CPU.
