If you don't like iOS 7, you really won't like OS X 10.10
Apple’s iOS 7 mobile operating system
, which is said to have
received design direction from Jony Ive
, has been
met with a lot of criticism
since sits release nearly a year ago. IOS 7 marked the biggest overhaul of iOS since its introduction in 2007 and did away with a lot of the
that users became accustomed to over the years (doing away with discernible “buttons” within core apps was enough to infuriate many users).
In an effort to further align its mobile and PC operating systems, Apple is set to give OS X an iOS 7-centric update this year according to
. For those out there that love iOS 7, the change will no doubt be welcome. However, for iOS 7 detractors, it may be time to bring out the pitchforks.
OS X 10.10 will be previewed next month at WWDC 14
OS X 10.10 will reportedly be an “end-to-end redesign” and the most significant visual change to Apple’s flagship operating system since OS X was
originally released over a decade ago
The new look will have similar toggle designs to iOS 7, sharper window corners, more defined icons across the system, and more white space than the current version.
The overhaul is said to be so drastic and exhaustive that Apple is said to be pulling employees from iOS 8 development to finish OS X 10.10.
As for iOS 8, we’ve already learned that Apple will
add Shazam functionality to Siri
. There have also been frequent rumors that a
new Healthbook app
will be included to tackle health monitoring. But
also indicates that Maps will be updated to include integrated public transit directions, iTunes Radio will get its own separate app (instead of being integrated into the Music app), and there will be support include for
IOS 8 will also likely continue Apple’s efforts to prod developers to optimize for 64-bit processors — Apple first introduced 64-bit into the mix via the
and the upcoming A8 will continue those efforts.

Part tablet part laptop. With the combined look and feel of iOS 7, here it comes.
Thinking with the reduced price of the Mac Airs, there will be a 11" iPad/Mac Air and 13" iPad/Mac Air combo devices coming.
