Shazam integration expected with iOS 8

A report has surfaced that Apple is set to add a new song discovery feature in a future update for iOS. Sources that claim to be familiar with Apple's plans say that Shazam will power the song-discovery feature.

The microphone of an iPhone or iPad would be used to capture audio of the song and then the audio would be compared to the song database of the program.

Song discovery would be baked directly into iOS and will be available through Siri. The user being able to hit the Home button and ask what song is playing.

Another report indicates that Apple is looking at making iTunes Radio a standalone app rather than a feature inside the iTunes store. However, the source says that the final decision on that move hasn't been made.

Shazam currently has over 420 million users worldwide that use its services.

You are now answering a post that no-one posted... Your posts here are really becoming more and more irrelevant as time goes by. Just like Apple ;)

Apple have always been irrelevant. Just like they have always been doomed. They are forever teetering on the edge of decline and marginality. It's quite exciting to watch. It obviously excites you.

A large proportion of the comments made in response to any product or feature announcement by Apple consists of the following basic elements:

- It already been done by someone else.

- it means nothing and is unimportant.

- it's a symptom of Apple's panic as they try to catch up to with whatever they are deemed to have missed.

- it would never have happened if Steve Jobs were alive.

- it's a symptom of Apple's sad decline.

By shuffling and mixing the above it is possible to generate a vast number of comments about Apple without actually having to think or indeed make any effort at all. Soon there will be an app available (sadly iOS only) that does the mixing for you and thus removes the last vestiges of brain activity and one's comments on Apple can be composed and posted whilst one is actually unconscious. How cool is that!

I feel 2014 is going to be an interesting year.

So... Getting a life isn't in the cards for you in 2014 I guess. Still spending time worshiping a company.
