Motorola brings its "A game" to smartwatch design
We just reported earlier today that Google is going full steam ahead with wearable devices thanks to its
Android Wear operating system
. We’ve already seen LG’s rather bland offering with the G Watch, and now it’s Motorola’s turn.
We’re just gonna go ahead and say it — the Moto 360 blows the G Watch out of the water when it comes to esthetics. The smartwatch features a circular LCD that can display traditional analog or digital watch faces. It’s actually the first smartwatch that actually looks like a real watch that regular human beings would want to wear.
Motorola describes the device, stating:
Moto 360 keeps you on time and up to date without taking you out of the moment or distracting you, telling you what you need to know before you know you need it through subtle alerts and notifications. With just a twist of the wrist you can see who’s emailing or calling, what time your next meeting is or a friend’s latest social post...
Most importantly, Moto 360’s iconic design, featuring a round face and premium materials, feels comfortable and familiar on your wrist. It’s everything you need, with a look that you want.
Motorola is giving away much when it comes to specs (we do know, however, that it will be available this summer), but you can watch the video above and peruse over the pictures below.

It does look by far the best. I hope they used gorilla glass 3 because the glass sticks way up above the case.

How about Sapphire like the Sony Ericsson MBW-150? Oh wait... The MBW-seies clearly doesn't exist if the following statement were true:
"It’s actually the first smartwatch that actually looks like a real watch that regular human beings would want to wear."
I'm still hoping someone will make something more like the MBW series (normal analog watch face with an inset monochrome OLED notification display). I don't want a full-fledged app-running Android gizmo on my wrist complete with fragmented storage, compromised specs, and low battery life. Even if I did want all that, it's make more sense as secondary wireless display that uses the storage and SOC in your pocket rather than duplicating it with compromises in performance and battery life.
