Motorola brings its "A game" to smartwatch design

We just reported earlier today that Google is going full steam ahead with wearable devices thanks to its Android Wear operating system. We’ve already seen LG’s rather bland offering with the G Watch, and now it’s Motorola’s turn.

We’re just gonna go ahead and say it — the Moto 360 blows the G Watch out of the water when it comes to esthetics. The smartwatch features a circular LCD that can display traditional analog or digital watch faces. It’s actually the first smartwatch that actually looks like a real watch that regular human beings would want to wear.

Motorola describes the device, stating:

Moto 360 keeps you on time and up to date without taking you out of the moment or distracting you, telling you what you need to know before you know you need it through subtle alerts and notifications. With just a twist of the wrist you can see who’s emailing or calling, what time your next meeting is or a friend’s latest social post...

Most importantly, Moto 360’s iconic design, featuring a round face and premium materials, feels comfortable and familiar on your wrist. It’s everything you need, with a look that you want.

Motorola is giving away much when it comes to specs (we do know, however, that it will be available this summer), but you can watch the video above and peruse over the pictures below.

Still looks like a big lump on the wrist. A round lump instead of square, but still a lump.

I agree. In that dark background photo/render, it looks pretty fantastic, however in the two pictures of people wearing it, it looks like a big ass watch. And personally, that pic where the watch is displaying the text, imo it looks pretty lame.

But yes, looks a lot better than the square ones. I still don't see this kind of thing taking off yet.

Because it's a fake rendering, not an actual photo.

Someone just Photoshopped that stuff onto the watch. Pretty obvious.
