Motorola brings its "A game" to smartwatch design

We just reported earlier today that Google is going full steam ahead with wearable devices thanks to its Android Wear operating system. We’ve already seen LG’s rather bland offering with the G Watch, and now it’s Motorola’s turn.
We’re just gonna go ahead and say it — the Moto 360 blows the G Watch out of the water when it comes to esthetics. The smartwatch features a circular LCD that can display traditional analog or digital watch faces. It’s actually the first smartwatch that actually looks like a real watch that regular human beings would want to wear.

Motorola describes the device, stating:

Moto 360 keeps you on time and up to date without taking you out of the moment or distracting you, telling you what you need to know before you know you need it through subtle alerts and notifications. With just a twist of the wrist you can see who’s emailing or calling, what time your next meeting is or a friend’s latest social post...

Most importantly, Moto 360’s iconic design, featuring a round face and premium materials, feels comfortable and familiar on your wrist. It’s everything you need, with a look that you want.

Motorola is giving away much when it comes to specs (we do know, however, that it will be available this summer), but you can watch the video above and peruse over the pictures below.

Hopefully I don't need an Android phone to take advantage of this.

Watch the android nerds demand complex file management on this thing.

Guess I got downvoted by the nerd that wants to manage files on his watch.

I just want to avoid this scenario.

"Hey, good sir, do you have the time."

"Pardon me sir, I'll give it to you after my watch finishes rebooting."

This is not an Apple watch, which would require another Apple device to operate. This is an Android based watch by Google.

Who the hell rated that down? How do you think the smartwatch is going to get any information if it's not paired to your phone?

Or do you honestly think that they're going to put a cellular radio in there and you're going to pay for another cellular contract to get service on it? Dumba$$es.
