No word on US launch just yet, but it is expected
Just yesterday, reports were circulating that
Apple would be rolling out an 8GB version of the iPhone 5C smartphone
. Those reports have proven to be true with the new 8GB version of the iPhone 5C landing in China and Europe.
Carriers across Europe are currently taking orders for the 8GB iPhone 5C. UK carrier O2 and French carrier SFR are said to be offering the device for free on contract.
The 8GB version of the phone is available directly from the Apple Store as well with an unlocked version selling for £429 making it £40 cheaper than the 16GB version of the smartphone.
The new 8GB iPhone 5C is available in multiple colors and other than having less storage; the device has the same exact hardware found in other iPhone 5C versions. It's unclear at this point if the iPhone 4S will be discontinued now that the 8GB 5C is available -- as of now the iPhone 4S is still on carrier websites.
The 8GB iPhone 5C has yet to make an appearance in the U.S.

Where did i say that?
I simply pointed out that apples budget phone is significantly more expensive than a flagship android phone. Not to mention the fact that the 5c is basically hardware released 6 months prior to the One and 7 months prior to the S4.
I have not told anyone what to buy, or which is better, simply pointing out how overpriced it is, which, well, is anyone surprised?

You are claiming that a "flagship Android phone" represents the same value proposition as an iPhone (top of the line or not) at a lower price. This is a JUDGEMENT call, which gives zero value to iOS, the Apple ecosystem, and sundry build quality aspects of an iPhone.
It's fine to state that that's your opinion, but that wasn't good enough for you --- you insisted on stating it as an objective fact about the world.
Now you're pissed off that someone called you on your bullshit.

You on the other hand are attributing more value to iOS, the Apple ecosystem and the sundry build is why the cost of the iPhone is much higher than comparable or better phones. The OP never brought up those factors and just based it purely on the aspects of the cost of the phones.
Just because you want to justify the high cost of purchasing an iPhone because of the reasons you listed, a majority of others seem to believe that other phones have better value than the iPhone, hence iPhones declining marketshare. See other than the factors you list, people do like more choices such as larger screens, expandable memory, longer battery life, better resolutions, and the list goes on and I think Retro has a long list of the features that iPhones lack vs the competition.
If I were to go on marketshare alone, I'd say that more people don't think the iPhone is worth the extra cost when compared against the competition.
