LG won't say when the new smartphone will be available outside of Korea

LG Electronics has announced its follow-up to the original G Pro that launched last year at MWC. The new G Pro 2, which runs Android 4.4 Kitkat, has a 5.9-inch screen with full HD resolution and a slim bezel that is only 3.3mm thick.

The G Pro 2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor running at 2.26GHz and it uses an Adreno 330 GPU. Internal storage is either 16GB or 32GB and the phone has 3GB of DDR3 RAM. The battery is a removable 3200mAh unit.

The smartphone also has a better integrated sound system with 1W Hi-Fi sound promising to be 30% louder than the G Pro. The G Pro 2 also has a new feature called Knock Code that makes unlocking the smartphone easier and quicker.

Knock code lets the user power on and unlock the smartphone by tapping the screen using one of the 86,367 knock combinations available. The knock pattern can be entered into any section of the screen. The knock code can use between two and eight taps.

Other features of the smartphone include 120fps HD video recording and slow motion editing along with the ability to record 4K Ultra HD video for playback on UHD TVs (the rear camera is a 13MP unit and the front is a 2.1MP offering). The smartphone also supports Magic Focus allowing the user to change the depth of focus after shooting the image before the image is saved.

Availability outside Korea is unknown at this time.

It could happen if hte ROM download was bad, or it was just a badly written ROM. "Bricked" though is probably not the right term, since you can always re-flash it with ODIN and return it to stock, which I assume is what he is doing. To me "bricked" means it wont boot or take a flash and is therefore not recoverable at all.

Anyhow, that is why I recommend CM11 for him. It's really come a long way in the past year. Solid, stable, fast and recently well funded.

CM11 is awesome. Been running 11-20140111 nightly for a while now. Stable and smooth.

Pretty much what I thought it always meant. Broken forever.
