Entry-level 7-inch tablet should be inexpensive

Samsung has pulled the covers off the new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. The tablet features a 7” display with a meager resolution of 1024 x 600. If you’re looking for the latest version of Android, you’ll have to look elsewhere – the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite comes preloaded with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

In keeping with the tablet’s budget roots, the processor is a 1.2GHz dual core unit paired with 1GB of RAM. The tablet has only 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. And Samsung has seen fit to only include one camera on the tablet – a 2MP rear shooter.

Samsung promises up to eight hours of video playback per charge thanks to its 3600 mAh battery.

The tablet will ship globally in white or black colors, however, it is unclear when the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite will launch and how much it will cost.
