Microsoft is trying to make it up to gamers who purchased Xbox One consoles that had hardware issues by giving them a free download code for a game. Anyone who purchased a faulty Xbox One console will be able to get a free game from four choices according to
The four choices include
Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome
. The games are being offered as a free download, so even machines suffering from a defective optical drive will be able to play the games.
"While a replacement console is on its way, we want to ensure our advance exchange customers can stay in the game," a statement from Microsoft said. "We will provide each of them with a free digital download of one of the launch titles published by Microsoft Studios."
Microsoft continues to maintain that there were issues with a very small number of consoles so far. Microsoft has also promised to "take care" of customers that purchase faulty consoles.

Overnight? Screw that noise.
They could send Bill Gates in his private jet to your house and parachute to your doorstep with a new console and take back the broken console at the same time. Then use the balloon cable thingy from Dark Night to get picked up by the jet and move on to the next house.
And don't say that isn't practical. Bill Gates totally has a private jet and probably a parachute too. And if the defect is as limited as Micro$oft contends, he will only have to do a couple hundred parajumps per day.
