X313 has an Intel Ivy Bridge CPU

Acer has pulled the wraps off a new Travelmate X313 convertible. The X313 has an 11.6-inch screen (1366x768) and tips the scales at 1.74 pounds.

Under the hood, the X313 uses a 2GHz Intel Core i5-3339Y Ivy Bridge processor. The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and 120GB of storage is onboard. Battery life for the aluminum-clad tablet is listed at a meager 6 hours.

Acer equips the portable device with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 720p resolution front camera for video conferencing. The X313 also features integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a full-size USB 3.0 port.

The convertible can be turned into a notebook computer by adding an optional keyboard case or can be used as a desktop machine with an optional cradle.

Acer seems to be targeting the X313 directly at Microsoft’s Surface Pro 2 and its pricing reflects that. The tablet will start at $950 when it launches later this month.

Unusable resolution, last-get CPU, no digitizer, neither cradle nor keyboard is included, delusions of competing with Surface Pro 2 a a sky-high price... Whoever is responsible should not simply be fired, but diagnosed.
