32GB Surface RT with touch cover is $249

Microsoft is offering customers who trade in a second generation or newer iPads a $200 credit towards the purchase of a new Surface tablet. However, we just stumbled across an even tastier deal if you're into supporting a rather stagnant ecosystem.

Manufacturer Certified on eBay is selling refurbished Surface RTs at a steep discount. The seller is currently offering the 32GB Surface RT with a black Touch Cover for $249.99 with free shipping. Stepping up to the 64GB model with a black Touch Cover will set you back $279.99.

Both tablets are backed by a one-year Microsoft warranty.

Manufacturer Certified offered a similar deal as a part of the eBay Daily Deals promotion two weeks ago, and they quickly sold out.

While the price is quite tempting, do remember that the second generation of Surface tablets is due out later this month, although it's doubtful that they will be priced this low.

I'm thinking a Surface RT would make a perfect desktop system for my mom, because maybe she can't screw it up lol, but it can do a lot more than a ridiculous Chromebook.

But geez, Tegra 4 and a higher resolution panel for the same price would be awesome. At least if it launches at $500 but Surface RT 1 is $350 I wouldn't feel as bad lol
