32GB Surface RT with touch cover is $249

Microsoft is offering customers who trade in a second generation or newer iPads a $200 credit towards the purchase of a new Surface tablet. However, we just stumbled across an even tastier deal if you're into supporting a rather stagnant ecosystem.
Manufacturer Certified on eBay is selling refurbished Surface RTs at a steep discount. The seller is currently offering the 32GB Surface RT with a black Touch Cover for $249.99 with free shipping. Stepping up to the 64GB model with a black Touch Cover will set you back $279.99.

Both tablets are backed by a one-year Microsoft warranty.
Manufacturer Certified offered a similar deal as a part of the eBay Daily Deals promotion two weeks ago, and they quickly sold out.
While the price is quite tempting, do remember that the second generation of Surface tablets is due out later this month, although it's doubtful that they will be priced this low.

RT is not bad depending on what you want to do. It is NOT a great app tablet, but it has a browser that is a full Windows browser, you can link almost any site to your Start screen.

That's probably one of the best ways to describe the RT, and the only reason I figured I would be ok with one. I have very little interest in most windows "apps" (modern ui), and Netflix is really the only one I need (no Silverlight), most everything else is serviced via the fully-functional flash-enabled desktop (non-mobile) browser as you point out.

Granted there are a few games from the store I've downloaded, and then there is the jailbreak for a few desktop apps I wanted to use. This price is hard to beat for what you get.

If you're mostly using it for a web browser and Netflix machine, I don't see why you'd get this over a Chromebook or a Nexus 7 (2012 or 2013). This is a huge discount - not a good deal.
