32GB Surface RT with touch cover is $249

Microsoft is offering customers who trade in a second generation or newer iPads a $200 credit towards the purchase of a new Surface tablet. However, we just stumbled across an even tastier deal if you're into supporting a rather stagnant ecosystem.
Manufacturer Certified on eBay is selling refurbished Surface RTs at a steep discount. The seller is currently offering the 32GB Surface RT with a black Touch Cover for $249.99 with free shipping. Stepping up to the 64GB model with a black Touch Cover will set you back $279.99.

Both tablets are backed by a one-year Microsoft warranty.
Manufacturer Certified offered a similar deal as a part of the eBay Daily Deals promotion two weeks ago, and they quickly sold out.
While the price is quite tempting, do remember that the second generation of Surface tablets is due out later this month, although it's doubtful that they will be priced this low.

Should have been cheaper from the start.

It still boggles the mind why they didn't offer much better pricing over competing solutions. No one was going to switch at the same price for lesser hardware. MS over values their sh!t way too much, they need to fully understand they're behind.

You would have thought they learned from the Zune...

You're so right. It is excellent hardware, great feel, substantial, works well, smooth. But you have to bring something to the table (yes, Office is nice and it is suited for student class work), and the price needs to be compelling. It is now, but it wasn't.
