Evleaks once again gets the scoop on an unannounced smartphone

Earlier this week, a screenshot of the long rumored 6" Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphone was leaked. The image showed the expanded Windows Phone 8 UI thanks to the extra screen real estate and increased resolution (1080p display).

Today, evleaks posted press shots of the Lumia 1520 showing it from the front and back. The shots also confirm the revised UI.

When the Lumia 1520 launches later this month, it is expected to feature a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and a 20MP rear-facing camera.

The Zune was by far the best MP3 player at the time. Far better sound quality than an iPod, shipped with much better earbuds. Even the magnetic clip on the earbuds was cool. Zune software was superior to iTunes software in every way, and the Zunepass was a great deal. MS dropped the ball on marketing it. For the longest time it was only available in the US. Most people had never heard of it, and if they had, they couldn't get it. Go check old used Zune prices on eBay to see how much demand there still is for them.

The Kin was the result of somebody at MS smoking too much crack.

Windows Phone is growing fast, and is number 2 in several markets now. You continually ignore this as if the USA is the only place that matters.

Surface once again is a great product hampered by crappy marketing. Like the Zune, when it was new enough to be in demand, you couldn't find it anywhere outside of the USA. I am talking Surface Pro, of course. The Surface RT should have just been a larger WinPhone. A third OS wasn't necessary, but I guess it was MS hedging it's bets against x86 never getting a tablet ready chip.
