Nokia cracks on KitKat

Even though Microsoft recently purchased Nokia’s Hardware and Services division for over $7 billion, that isn’t stopping Nokia from ribbing its larger, more lucrative competitors.
Following the news that Samsung is set to soon release a device based on Android 4.4 “KitKat”, Nokia Germany tweeted a picture of a Samsung Android smartphone snapped in half with the notation "Have a break, have a..." implying have a Nokia device instead.

Clearly, the image is making fun of Samsung and trying to bring to mind the KitKat candy bar commercials that show someone snapping one of the chocolaty cookie wafers in half. And in case you were wondering, the widely rumored “Key Lime Pie” alias for Android 4.4 was voted down because it wasn't a popular enough dessert.

For even more amusement, be sure to check out Google's KitKat video which pokes fun at Apple and Jony Ive:

For over 10 years me and my family have used exclusively Nokia but my money now would go to Samsung and in no way to M$ukia!

Care to elaborate on why?

You can't reason with a troll :\

Especially a backstabber that claims to have used Nokia products happily for a decade then for no implied reason abruptly stops using them and goes to a competitor that couldn't be any more different.

If his family did this to Nokia, they probably all stopped buying Fords over one small hickup (maybe My Ford Touch) even though they were happy with them for decades, and went to a competitor like Kia...

Or maybe they were happy Target shoppers but then they heard you couldn't tip at Target-operated Starbucks locations and decided to shop exclusively at Walmart from now on...

The analogies of hypocrisy are endless.

I see no particular reason to be loyal to a company. I keep using a companies products as long as I am happy with them, but if something better comes along, I'll gladly switch. They don't care about us, why should we care about them? I have favorite products, like everyone, but I don't give a free pass just because I used them in the past. I am equally baffled by Tony Swash and his desire to defend Apple's every move and reclaimer77 and his attacks on anyone who uses something other than Android. Both are too attached to one company to be healthy, in my opinion.

If they had adopted Android, they'd be like every other Android phone maker who isn't Samsung.

That is actually, a very good point. They also wouldn't have those $250 million infustions from Micro$loth as well...

Non-Samsung OEM's are still in better shape than Nokia was before the selloff.

You didn't hear that Nokia sold themselves to Microsoft specifically to get you and your family to stop using their products? They hated you as a customer so much, they sold their entire company...

Shhhhh! Nokia doesn't know that.

Their head is buried too deep in Microsoft's back orifice to notice.

Nokia will get it eventually, but until then we can watch them make fools of themselves & giggle.

They had trouble finding a non-Samsung Android phone to use?

Nope, they just wished they are Samsung.

Look at the market share pie-chart, they sure wished.
