Leaked Bandit screen shot  (Source: evleaks)
Leaked image shows extra columns of tiles on the home screen

A leaked image has turned up on Twitter (courtesy of evleaks) that claims to be a screenshot from the big-screen Nokia “Bandit” smartphone. The screenshot shows a reworked on screen for Windows Phone specifically designed for larger screen devices – in this case, 1080p. The Nokia Bandit is supposed to have a six-inch screen and the expanded Start Screen shows two extra columns for titles.

Previously leaked details suggest that Nokia's new phone could be called the Lumia 1520 when it's officially launched.

Current Windows Phone devices only have enough space for four columns of the smallest tiles. The Starts screen on the 1520 shows six total columns of small files. Other rumored specifications for the Nokia smartphone include a QUALCOMM 800 Snapdragon processor, full HD resolution display, and a 20-megapixel rear camera.
The phone is expected to launch a Nokia press conference to be held in New York on September 26.

This has been a big week for Microsoft and Nokia with Microsoft announcing that it is purchasing Nokia's hardware division and other assets for over $7 billion.

It's cluttered if you want it to be. If you don't want it to, it doesn't have to be.

No kidding. I know quite a few people with Lumia 920s and 1020s, and many of them look absolutely nothing alike. Some people use nice clean medium tiles, others have a mess of tiles. Personally I like to have a medium tile surrounded by several small tiles. Like the people/contacts tile surrounded by phone, email, text, and social media tiles. The medium game tile surrounded by a bunch of small tiles which link to my most used games. A medium IE tile surrounded by links to my favorite websites.
It looks a bit like a mess at first, but once you get a system that you like then it works out quite nicely.
