Rumored details of One Mini also surface

Samsung has racked up a significant amount of success with its big-screen Galaxy Note smartphone family. Rumors point to HTC getting set to launch a new big-screen smartphone to compete directly with the upcoming Galaxy Note III.

According to the rumors, the device will be called the One Max and will feature a six-inch screen. The One Max is tipped to have a 1080p display and rumors point to a launch in September at IFA. The device is also said to feature a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and up to 64 GB of storage.
If the September launch date is correct, HTC will be going head-to-head with the expected launch of the Galaxy Note III.

Along with rumored specifications for the One Max also come a few details that are rumored for the One Mini. These rumor point to a dual core 1.4 GHz processor, 4.3-inch screen with a resolution of 720p, and 16 GB of storage. The rumors also claim the official announcement for the device will happen within the next two weeks.

5.5" was big enough. I don't get how people can't see that.

After a certain point, it stops being a big phone and starts being a small tablet. I'll tell you right now, the Xperia Z Ultra is past that point lol, as is the Galaxy Mega.

I really really hope this phone isn't 6 inches. I love the One design (sans bezel/button nonsense).

5.5 is enough for me too, but you cant see why people would want a larger screen? With all todays smartphones do, to put it all on a small screen is a waste. Some people like it, so why not? Most people that poo poo all over large screen phones have one thing in common... They have never actually used a large screen phone. Its soooooo much more useful than the old 4 inch pee shoters from 3 years ago.

Yeah if only the millions of people buying Phablets could just see how wrong they are!!!

How many millions have a phone bigger than 5.5"? I never said anything about it being wrong to buy something, but calling a 6.44" device a "mobile phone" is just silly.

If Apple put a dialer on a 3G iPad it'd be a 'mobile phone.' If I strapped some cell tech and a battery to my deskphone at work it'd be a 'mobile phone.' All I'm saying is words matter.

They're about to get so cheap and good-enough, it'll come to a point where most people might as just well carry around a phone AND a tablet anyway.

Yeah except that doesn't mean anything. It's subjective. Plenty of people will be happy with an Xperia Z Ultra. Pointless comment.

Six inches is about average, for most guys I think. Besides, it's not about the size, it's how you use it.
