The line is being expanded thanks to the success of the RPLC-200KIT and RPLC-500KIT adapters
announced that it is adding three new members to its line of powerline networking adapters.
The three new members are the RPLC-201KIT, RPLC-201PKIT and RPLC-200PKIT AV+ Premium. The line is being expanded thanks to the success of the RPLC-200KIT and RPLC-500KIT adapters.
The RPLC-201KIT is a 200Mbps Powerline AV mini Wall-Plug Adapter with HomePlug AV technology, a 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, 128-bit AES encryption, a range of 984 feet over the power line, expandability of up to 8 units and HD video/online gaming compatibility. Its power consumption is <2.5W Operation, 1.21W Idle, 0.48W Standby (30 mins without data transmit detection) and dimensions are 2.72 x 2.28 x 1.22in.
The RPLC-201PKIT has the same features as the RPLC-201KIT, with the exception of power consumption (<2.7W Operation, 1.6W Idle, 0.34W Standby -- 30 mins without data transmit detection) and dimensions (4.61 x 2.36 x 2.09in).
The RPLC-200PKIT AV+ Premium has all the same features as the RPLC-201PKIT, with the exception of a speed of up to 500Mbps.
"The RPLC powerline adapters’ push button setup will secure your extended network and have it up and running within seconds with a simple push of a button on each pair," said Rosewill. "The mini size of the RPLC-201KIT is designed to save room for your limited power outlets and the pass-through feature of the RPLC-201PKIT and RPLC-200PKIT provides a one for one offer where it will take one power outlet and give one back."
In addition to these features, all three have a Built-in Noise filter to reduce power interference and enhance data transmission quality and built-in QoS for lag-free use of media streaming, VoIP or online gaming.
Just last month, Rosewill announced a
new distribution partnership with ASI Corp
, which is one of the largest distribution networks for computer components and peripherals in the world It will start carrying a range of Rosewill products, such as computer cases, networking gear, power supplies, cables, and computer accessories.
The idea behind the new partnership is to expand Rosewill's presence in the U.S. ASI Corp is one of the largest distribution networks for computer components with 10 locations in the U.S., three in Canada, and three in Mexico.

My router and TV/media player are on opposite sides of the house, and different floors.
At best, I get about 70Mbps when transfering video files....pretty slow when they're 4GB MKV files! Even worse when my wife is streaming video.
I've tried top-rated/reviewed powerline adapters....they never seem to work all that well, or reliably. I've even tried them on the same curcuit and wasn't impressed.
I just recently installed wired ethernet from my router to the TV area... WOW... soooo freaking nice.
I used two wall plates from Monoprice, plus some Cat6 cable.
Here's the wall plate:
Go wired... there is NOTHING BETTER.

If you redid your electric and put those rooms on the same circuit with no branching, I bet your powerline adapters would have worked really well too.
Laying ethernet is a massive PITA and isn't always in the cards. If you've got enough drywall down to rewire, I'd rather put conduit in with a fiber/coax/CAT6 bundle.
