It is believed to be the first music video recorded in space
You may not be able to find music videos on MTV anymore, but you can find them in space.
Chris Hadfield, an astronaut aboard the International Space Station (ISS), recorded what is believed to be the very first music video in space.
Hadfield, who has spent five months on the ISS, recorded a cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity" and released it on YouTube. He even added some of his own lyrics like "Ground control to Major Tom, lock your Soyuz hatch and put your helmet on."
Hadfield is returning to Earth today on a Soyuz spacecraft, which will land in Kazahkstan.
Bowie even tweeted
about the video, saying "CHRIS HADFIELD SINGS SPACE ODDITY IN SPACE! 'Hallo Spaceboy...'"
Check out the video below, which has already received 1.5 million views:

...they know the song is basically about a guy who lost his marbles in space and just...died. Right?

Huge HUGE HUGGEEEE Bowie fan here!
I think it's up for interpretation (like all Bowie songs) if Major Tom died in
Ashes to Ashes
Bowie talks about Major Tom returning to Earth and becoming a "junkie". So I guess he didn't die after all :)
