*Lumia 928 is priced at $99 after a pesky $50 mail-in-rebate

Nokia's latest smartphone now officially has a date with Verizon Wireless: May 16. The new Nokia Lumia 928 packs in a 4.5" OLED (1280x768), a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor, 32GB of storage space, an 8.7mp rear shooter with Carl Zeiss optics, a xenon flash, and NFC. The smartphone also manages to pack in a 2000 mAh battery.

Naturally, the Lumia 928 comes with PureView imaging and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) in an effort to cut down on blurry pictures and improve nighttime shots.

The Lumia 928 is priced at $99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate (really, a MIR?) with a new 2-year contract. For a limited time, those who purchase a Lumia 928 will also get a $25 credit to use on Windows Phone apps and games.

Sigh, you DO sound like Tony Swash.

And do you realize the relevance of what you just posted? It's telling us that Microsoft makes far more revenue off Android than it's own platform! Hello! That's a win to you?

I will be here, and I might even own a WP phone myself at that time. I like WP8 and it looks like there are some larger screened higher res versions coming later this year and that is definitely on my shortlist... But you, me and a million others doesn't make it a hit. Like I said IOS was far better than anything else when it got huge... Android filled the gap with a better feature set, more flexibility, more price ranges etc. WP8 is good, so is BB10 but they really dont offer anything that the others dont already have. To knock the others out of their entrenched spots and get people to dump all their apps and pick a new platform you have to have something to draw them. A better platform, feature set... Something to make people want to switch. As IOS and Android grew they had that. I havent seen a single thing that WP8 or BB10 can do that will get the masses to switch... U less you can tell me some great feature I am unaware of.

Its going to be slow but as more people use it they will get it.

As for above I technically want a camera thats also a phone the single most item I use on my phone is the camera for pictures and video so I want the best possible Audio and Video quality I can and the Nokia 920 is that until the Nokia EOS arrives. 2nd is the phone and coverage is king so you have to be on AT&T and Verizon. 3rd is GPS and Nokia make awesome maps app that doesnt require a data connection. 4th is Apps and Games and there is plenty to keep me interested.

This is why I dont even consider Apple they took a step backwards with thier latest camera on the 5 and the maps until google maps was available was a major catastrophy.

The Galaxy S3 failed on the camera and thats my number one so yes a camera is a buying point for me and quite sure a lot of others would greatly appreciate having a killer camera with them all the time since they carry thier phones all the time.

Having Microsoft office is also a plus that I use from time to time. Anything else everyone has it and if they dont there are 200 alternatives and some of them better than the originals.
