*Lumia 928 is priced at $99 after a pesky $50 mail-in-rebate

Nokia's latest smartphone now officially has a date with Verizon Wireless: May 16. The new Nokia Lumia 928 packs in a 4.5" OLED (1280x768), a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor, 32GB of storage space, an 8.7mp rear shooter with Carl Zeiss optics, a xenon flash, and NFC. The smartphone also manages to pack in a 2000 mAh battery.
Naturally, the Lumia 928 comes with PureView imaging and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) in an effort to cut down on blurry pictures and improve nighttime shots.

The Lumia 928 is priced at $99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate (really, a MIR?) with a new 2-year contract. For a limited time, those who purchase a Lumia 928 will also get a $25 credit to use on Windows Phone apps and games.

Uhh you're kidding yourself if you think any camera on a phone, even Nokia's, is going to stand up to a DSLR. The problem with smartphone cameras is physics. The camera lens just isn't large enough to produce a truly great image.

You are totally being like a Tony Swash, the other poster is right, I'm NOT debating you on the quality of Nokia's audio and video. Stop trying to sell me on it, I get it. But it doesn't matter.

My point is that it's not really going to be enough to sell the phone to the consumer. You cannot build a Windows Phone dynasty on "Hey, we have better cameras".

Love how you twist words. I expect better from a phone than just good enough. The camera should at least be something worth using and not having to carry around a point and shoot. No one expects DLSR out of a phone but it should be on par with Point and shoot minus the zoom. Sorry if your Samsung S3 falls short of what Nokia is capable of doing with the 920/928.

You should read the Galaxy S4 reviews on the hanging and stuttering even on the 8 core processor. How many cores will it take before Android gets to smooth and stable? While Windows Phone is smooth as silk on a old single core 800mhz chip. Sorry but the Windows Phone OS is incredible.

While you may not be impressed with Windows Phone market share its growing and people are discovering how good it is its only a matter of time till people embrace it the same level as the X-Box 360 as a Microsoft knows what they are doing product.

Thought you were done with this Samsung Paid shill?

Nice try. Samsung is running anything but stock Android. They've packed a TON of custom software and UI schemes ontop of Android. There's so many features on the S4, I barely know half of them. If even one of those is buggy it could cause the problems you mention.

I don't own an S3, so your hostile "Samsung shill" only proves you want to troll not discuss. My current phone is an old Motorola Droid Razr because my GS2 was dropped in a toiled by yours truly months ago. Which has a dual core, and Jelly Bean is buttery smooth on it. So the whole "zomg Android is laggy" thing is a stereotype from years ago.

Why are you being so hostile about this stuff anyway? It's ridiculous.

I expect better from a phone than just good enough.

Again, my god how many times must I say it, I don't think the AVERAGE person cares as much as you about the camera. As long as the pics are "good enough" for Facebook or whatever, they think nothing of it.

And if you think I'm wrong about that, fine, but you're the one twisting my words. I'm talking about what moves phone sales!

While you may not be impressed with Windows Phone

/sigh facepalm

Clearly more people than me are not impressed with Windows Phone! Hello? This isn't Reclaimer vs Microsoft, idiot! Wtf is wrong with you?
