Many are from Warner Bros. since it launched its own Warner Archive Instant service

Netflix is giving a lengthy list of old titles the boot from its streaming service starting at midnight tonight.

InstantWatcher has released a list of nearly 1,000 movie titles that will expire starting May 2. One reason for the purge is the fact that "hundreds" of titles from the Warner Bros. library will be placed in Warner Archive Instant, which is a classic film service launched by the company.

Many of those titles include pre-1986 films from MGM and United Artists.

Warner Bros. insisted that its launch of Warner Archive Instant isn't the reason for Netflix's purge of its video library. Netflix's Joris Evers said that the streaming giant licenses movies on an exclusive basis, and added that many of the movies expiring at midnight were part of a deal Netflix had with Epix.

The way I read the article it makes it sound like nothing but old crappy movies are being removed but if that list is anything to go by then I'll be a little upset.

I'm finding a lot of shows for kids being removed and that's the main reason I have Netflix.

A few shows I hate to see go
Jimmy Neutron
Danny Phantom
Dora the Explorer
Fairly Odd Parents
Go Diego Go
South Park

Nude for Satan should be on that list too.
