Camera features Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity built-in

Panasonic has pulled the wraps it latest Micro 4/3 camera: the DMC-GF6. The camera boasts 16-megapixel resolution Live MOS Sensor paired with the Venus Engine for image processing.

The ISO settings can be extended all the way up to 25,600, and the camera features a Light Speed autofocus system including full-time autofocus and tracking autofocus that is available during video recording. The camera also features a new low-light AF system allowing quick and accurate focusing on subjects even in lowlight conditions.

Other features of the DMC-GF6 include integrated Wi-Fi and NFC technology allowing users to send pictures directly from the camera to smartphones or tablet with a single touch. The Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity also allow users to take advantage of a smartphone or tablet as a remote shutter controller with a monitor.
 


The DMC-GF6 is able to record full HD resolution video at 60i/50i and supports AVCHD. The maximum record time for movies in AVCHD format is 29 minutes and 59 seconds. The rear display on the camera measures three-inches and is tiltable with 180-degrees travel.
 
The camera will be offered in black, white, brown, and red colors, and will come with a 14-42mm kit lens. Pricing and availability is not yet known at this time.

What does Panasonic not make well?
