It can be accessed right from their browsers
BlackBerry is giving Android and Apple users a sneak peek at what its new BlackBerry 10 (BB10) operating system can do -- right through their mobile browser.
BlackBerry wants to do more than just tell the world about BB10. It wants to
it why the new OS is comeback-worthy for the struggling company, and maybe convince a few iOS and Android users to switch along the way.
All iOS and Android users have to do is go to
and an interactive walkthrough of BB10 will appear.
It's not a free-for-all allowing users to poke through all the ins and outs of BB10, but rather a walkthrough of the features that requires a quick tap or swipe now and then. It shows off features like Screen Share, Time Shift, Hub and predictive keyboard.
BlackBerry may have had a rough year or so with a huge service blackout in 2011 and market share loss to Apple and Android ever since, but things are turning around for the BB10 maker.
It introduced the BB10 OS in January and recently released its first BB10-powered device --
revealed that many new BB10 devices will roll out this year, including tablets and phablets. So of course BlackBerry wants to show everyone why they should switch to the BB10 OS.
Just last week, BlackBerry reported
a surprise profit
for the fourth quarter of 2012.
BlackBerry reported an income of $94 million (18 cents per share).
Excluding some costs, adjusted income came in at $114 million (22 cents per share). This beat analyst expectations of losing 29 cents per share.

Great demo! Short, but it is called a "glimpse" afterall.
I have only ever owned iphones but my wife and I both will be switching to the Z10.
Brilliant design and features. Expandable memory. Apps will come as more Z10's hit the market, that's just the way capitalism works.
In the end, it's just a phone. Folks get passionate about who's phone is better but I think that a healthy Blackberry offering is good for everyone.

Such demos have been done for years by the likes of Sony with their feature phones... With even simulated physical buttons.
Yes, it would be great if blackberry was a healthier company. They still have a chance, they don't have any room for screw ups. They already messed up by spending 3 years to make BB10. There is little reason to take this long.
Let us know how those z10s are.
