French court says no working nights for Apple employees

The High Court of Paris handed down a €10,000 fine and a ban and this week preventing Apple employees from working during the night at seven Apple stores within France. The ban prevents Apple from making retail employees work between the hours of 9 PM until 6 AM the following morning. The court also instituted a penalty of €50,000 per provisional infringement if Apple has employees working between those hours.

"This decision is very good and reflects the desire of Justice to enforce the night work", welcomed Eric Scherrer, CFTC trade employees, which emphasizes "a severe sentence."


"We just ask that the law is respected," Thomas responded in turn Bordage SUD trade, which explains that "the shops close at 2100, but the time for employees to put everything in order and work in workshops some may work until 11:00 p.m. ".

Under French law, working at night between the hours of 9 PM and 6 AM needs to be justified to ensure the continuity of economic activity or social utility to be legal.
 
The stores covered in the judgment include those located in Opéra in Paris Velizy 2 (Velizy-Villacoublay, Yvelines), Parly 2 (The Chesnay, Yvelines), Carré Sénart (Lieusaint, Seine-et-Marne), Val d'Europe (Marne-la-Vallee, Seine-et-Marne), Cape Town 3000 (Nice, Alpes-Maritimes) and Atlantis (Saint Herblain, Loire-Atlantique).

You seem to think that just because you're living on the streets you'll automatically get everything the government has to offer. Since a lot of these people have mental problems and other are just plain lazy. To get everything you have to fill out a lot of paper work. The people you see living on the streets are not the people that are sucking the government tits obviously. A lot of these people actually chose that lifestyle. I've spoken to a lot of them and seen groups of punker bums that live on the streets by choice.

Most of the time you'll never know these people are taking all of that government money because they'll look the same as any working American.

Read my comment above titles Seriously?

You folks are so entrenched in the corporate mindset that has you all convinced anything to do with the Government having compassion and helping the people is socialism. From what I have seen of the American thought process having to do with this issue, you'd think this was the 1950s and Joseph McCarthy was sitting in the White House. I guess being raised in an environment where you're taught "it's every man for himself" should produce the current sate of mind particularly in the right wing camp who typically believe fervently in God and Company(nee country).

McCarthyism: is the practice of making accusations of disloyalty, subversion, or treason without proper regard for evidence.

A great man once said in honour of the men who died for their country.

Is it too crazy a thought that since the government is created by the people, is funded by the people and is made up of people, that it's sole purpose and reason for existence is people? Not companies, not corporations, multi-nationals, not super pacs or political parties, not weapons manufacturers, not lawyers, judges, bankers and stock brokers....It's for the people! The common people, the majority, the working people, the needy, the poor, and those who cannot take care of themselves. What America was built on.

Oh America how much you have lost. A once proud country founded on highly principled ideals that cannot be faulted to this day. Now governed by fools, bankers and corporate executives on behalf of the disillusioned.
