French court says no working nights for Apple employees

The High Court of Paris handed down a €10,000 fine and a ban and this week preventing Apple employees from working during the night at seven Apple stores within France. The ban prevents Apple from making retail employees work between the hours of 9 PM until 6 AM the following morning. The court also instituted a penalty of €50,000 per provisional infringement if Apple has employees working between those hours.

"This decision is very good and reflects the desire of Justice to enforce the night work", welcomed Eric Scherrer, CFTC trade employees, which emphasizes "a severe sentence."


"We just ask that the law is respected," Thomas responded in turn Bordage SUD trade, which explains that "the shops close at 2100, but the time for employees to put everything in order and work in workshops some may work until 11:00 p.m. ".

Under French law, working at night between the hours of 9 PM and 6 AM needs to be justified to ensure the continuity of economic activity or social utility to be legal.
 
The stores covered in the judgment include those located in Opéra in Paris Velizy 2 (Velizy-Villacoublay, Yvelines), Parly 2 (The Chesnay, Yvelines), Carré Sénart (Lieusaint, Seine-et-Marne), Val d'Europe (Marne-la-Vallee, Seine-et-Marne), Cape Town 3000 (Nice, Alpes-Maritimes) and Atlantis (Saint Herblain, Loire-Atlantique).

man, you sound like someone I would NEVER hire in the first place.

In any case, you are free to not work there. So, if you don't like it, move on.

We don't need laws saying that if you get a call 1 minute before your shift ends the government will stand up for you and force you to hang up at 10pm. Besides, once the government starts with a law that forces you to leave when you get a call 1 min before the shift is over, all of the people getting calls 2 min before their shift ends will start complaining.

Work is hard. If you don't like the job you have, you are free to learn a skill that will provide you with a better job or at least one that you will like better. It won't be easy. But at no time in the history of mankind has more information or opportunity been available to the average class of people.

LOL, you would never get that chance idiot. I work 8-5 now buddy and don't have to deal with idiot fools like yourself. My job is much better and I don't get bent over like you do.
