Leaked images offer hardware details

Samsung has previously announced that it will officially unveil the Galaxy S IV on March 14 in New York City. Samsung went so far as to invite everyone to Times Square to watch the official unveil of the new smartphone live. Although Samsung is hoping of keeping things under wraps until next week, supposed rendering of the device have already leaked courtesy of EVLeaks.

One of the leaked images even shows a few of the hardware details for the phone. The first image, which you can see to the right, shows the S IV compared to other smartphones in the Galaxy S series. The S IV is clearly larger than the S III and the previous devices in franchise. The second image also tips some of the features of the smartphone.

This image notes that the S IV has a Super AMOLED screen with 1080p resolution. It's unclear exactly how large that screen is, but it appears to be larger than the one used on the S III. The image also tips the smartphone will be available in 16 GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB storage versions and all will have two gigabytes of RAM. The phone is also tipped to have a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. The operating system is reportedly Android 4.2.

While that's all the detail the leaked photographs offer, the new Samsung smartphone is also rumored to support technology that tracks the users eyes to automatically scroll pages. The feature is reportedly called “Eye Scrolling” and will track the user’s eyes to automatically determine when to scroll a page.
These details have come from an anonymous Samsung employee. According this employee, when the user reads an article and their eyes get to the bottom of the page, the phone will automatically scroll allowing the user to read the rest of the content.

Samsung previously filed a trademark in Europe for "Eye Scroll" and has filed for a trademark on "Samsung Eye Scroll" in the U.S. Both of those trademarks appear to support the unnamed Samsung employee's claims. Interestingly, Samsung also filed a trademark for a technology called "Eye Pause" but there's no mention of that tech in the leaks.
Samsung has already stated that the software features of the S IV will be more important than hardware innovations.

available in 16 GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB storage versions

Taking yet another page from Apple.

Another giant phone running yet another Android release, yawn.

Am I the only one creeped out that this phone's front camera is always on, looking at you?

Looking at your post history you are obviously Apple biased. But really, memory size is the best you can come up with for 'copying Apple'...that's getting pretty desperate.

Ummm 16gb, 32 gb and 64 gb are standard sizes for storage devices.
Yes you are the only one creeped out. There's something wrong with you lol..You can turn off the phone's front camera. Disable smart stay..Stay away even..

What I would be more upset with Samsung is increasing use of Apple's memory model - no more microsd slot and we're going to charge you 4x the going rate of SSD storage!

And apparently Apple copied from the RAM, SSD and pretty much every memory chip ever created industry:
4MB-->8MB-->16MB-->32MB-->64MB-->1 28MB-->256MB-->512MB-->1024MB-->2GB--&g t;4GB-->8GB-->16GB-->32GB-->64GB-->1 28GB

Apple buys the chips and parts from other manufacturers just like everyone else and amazingly enough they come in standard sizes.

I am sorry to burst your delusional bubble, but Apple does not "magically" make products from thin air.

"At what point do people start realizing that Samsung just copies Apple products?"

LOL... Its a hard argument to make considering Samsung is making WAY better products than Apple. As for RAM, what are you a complete idiot? Its standard sizes, alot of makers use it.

what are you a complete idiot?
Do you really need to ask that? Look at who you are talking too.

OK, but come on. Even for a technically challenged fanboy, you have to be a special kind of loser to think Samsung copied 16, 32, 64gb ram amounts from Apple. LOL. Its ridiculous to even say. I bet they are secretly planning future products with 128gb too the rat bastards!!!

It must be a sad life finding something to nitpick about.

8GB will not be included as this is Samsung's flagship phone as it's not enough storage nowadays. Anyone using the slightest amount of common sense would acknowledge this.

128GB would be an option, however this would likely cause the phone to be more expensive than most any other phone out there. There will likely be an option for expandable storage. Something Apple never has or never will provide, as they can charge people like you an additional $100 for more. Are you going to complain about that too?

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is available in more colours than just black and white. This will likely follow suit. Many companies provide black and white models. Nokia's N95 was available in black, white, as well as red, silver, pink, and many others. The N95 was released before the iPhone.

Samsung has provided white earphones with their phones for years. The Samsung D500 I had in 2005 had white earphones with it.

We get it, you like Apple, but why throw all logic out of the window, so you can purposely set out to nitpick against anything you possibly can when it comes to the competition? You need to find a better hobby, my friend.

I think you need to slip out quietly through the back door.
Your assertion borders on the ridiculous,Samsung is the #1 producer of Flash & SSD memory and they come in standard sizes and, they make memory for Apple as well as other OEMs.

You're right, Apple doesn't make products from thin air. They make products from aluminum, stainless steel, and glass. Products that feel amazing in your hands and are easy to use.

Meanwhile, Samsung and the rest of the industry make cheap plastic junk, in a race to the bottom. Just like Wintel PC's, it's a competition of who can make the cheapest mass-market Walmart special. Every 6 or 12 months, it dies, you throw it in the trash, and go buy a new one. Rinse. Repeat.

Hahaha, and as soon as apple release the 'Iphone Big' it will be 'revolutionary', and 'the next step'. 'Groundbreaking' and 'Sexy'. Actually it will read like this -

Commercial 1:
"The Next Iphone."
" Big. Groundbreaking. Smart."

Commercial 2:
"Incredible. New. Enjoy."

Commercial 3:
"This Is Your God."

HAHA!!! This is in the top five funniest things anyone has ever said about apple. Besides the commercials they will make more loosely based patents and try to sue again and again.

"]Apple] will make more loosely based patents and try to sue again and again."

Why not? History has proven that people named Christopher can discover a place that had already been found and get credit for it... Likewise companies named Apple can be granted patents for things that already exist.

The s4 is not an iphone competitor, not in any way. The iphone is way way behind in tech and ease of use and functionality, something that cannot be ignored by the iphans any more.

But google fanboys conveniently ignore the fact that Apple paved the way of smartphones.
It goes both ways buddy.

How convenient that none of the google nut huggers talk about the UK Judge that sided with Samsung just recently got hired by Samsung. How convenient.

iPhone is not way "behind" in tech. What Samsung is doing is incremental improvements. Making the phone bigger, more memory, fast CPU is just that .... incremental. Nothing special. If you are going to charge Apple for not being "creative", same can be said about Samsung.

What exactly have Samsung done that is so ground breaking? Name me one thing.

Apple revolutionized the SmartPhone, App Store, Music industry. No one can dispute that.

If you are going to talk Apple down, at least bring up FACTS, not just me calling and bitch.
